Virus Cleaner?

I was sent a link, it was a fake, and it included a virus. It was over MSN. If you get something that says ''This looks like you :s'' over MSN, don't open it.

Apparently, it includes a Trojan and Surfer. Never heard of the surfer one.

My question is: Is there a good way to clean a virus off my computer that's free?

I have ''Spyware Doctor'' and it's a load of crap. I also have a free SuperAntiSpyware, people tell me to use the real version trail but I can't use it because the free one won't delete off my computer.

Basically looking for any great free virus killing programs .

Someone above has suggested that you use SmitfraudFix. Don't bother! SmitFraudFix is a specialised removal tool that removes exactly 1 (one) type of infection. It will do nothing to remove the other roughly 999,999 types of computer infection.....As they say, ''a little knowledge is a dangerous thing''

Your problem is that you are using NO antivirus program. Spyware Doctor'' and SuperAntiSpyware are both excellent programs, but they are anti-spyware, they remove spyware only. Keep them both and then get yourself a good anti-virus program.

For your anti-virus needs, I would strongly recommend Avira AntiVir庐 PersonalEdition Classic. It has excellent heuristics, a virus detection rate that is better than most ''paid-for'' anti-virus programs and is light on using your computer's resources. Uses less then 10 MB RAM on my machine. And did I mention that it's free for life! Works great on my Vista box, too.
