Its $39.95 and would like to find one for free. Is spyware (spybot) the same thing as this?

Drivecleaner is a piece of S*%26t. If you get a pop-up from them, it's on you system and is very difficult to get off. Avoid them. I look at it this way - why would I purchase from a company who installs unauthorized pop-up software to advertise their product? What am I getting if I actually pay them for a product? And there is no way to contact them unless you buy from them.

I use spybot and the free version works great.

It is a scam. In fact DriveCleaner is a trojan infection in itself.
