Anti virus programs and video drivers?

What are the best *free* antivirus, spyware, and adware programs out there? And how in the world do you update a video driver? The manufacturers site is no help to me. Thanks bunches

I use AVG antivirus which is quite good but I've also heard Avast is good. I don't know about the rest of your question but these should be free (You'll need to select the free version of AVG).
