System clean-up for Macbooks? Avid macbook users, please help!?!?

I just got my macbook yesterday and I was wondering if there's like a system-clean up for it? (I've been a PC user O_0) What about defragmenter? Also what's a good (free) antivirus, spyware scanner should I download? any good recommendations?

Thanks in advance ^_^

okay, forgett about all that stuff. You're in the world of mac now. There are 44 known viruses/trojan horses for mac in the entire history, compared to 28330 for pc. So basically, you're not going to need one...

A defragmenter isn't really all that necesaryeither , there is one for free, it's called Idefrag. http://www.coriolis-systems.com/iDefrag....

mac os x doesn't have alot of problems with fragmentation of files (files broken into a million parts across your hardrive), only problems with disk fragmentation ( big empty spaces between files). So basically when your harddrive starts getting really full (i'd say about 80%) I'd defrag it.

Any other hints or tricks you need you can pick up on http://www.macattorney.com/ts.html

hope i could be of some help

have fun with your new mac
