I have a viruses on my computer!!! HELP!!!?

I need to know some free/ or free trials of spyware and antivirus programs to use. Also. I am wanting to clean everything up, Like the cookies, history, and etc. How do I go about do those.Which ones should I start first and end with? Thanks !!!

All very good programs recommended and advice - however I would like to recommend one other thing - turn off System Restore before booting into safe mode and scanning.
