Get something like Zone Alarm. This blocks stuff like spyware, and also get a good ad block.

Can anyone help ? my 5 year old son was playing cbeebies on my page when a crude advert of a naked woman came?norton internet security 2008

You should get a popup blocker for your browser.

Switch to Firefox (http://www.getfirefox.com) and get the addon called AdBlock Plus.

Also, run a spyware, malware, antivirus checks on your computer to see if there's anything that's sneeked onto your computer.
use a browser called Fire fox its free and has a great pop up blocker which need no configurations if a little email me if you get stuck
Get Panda Security 2008 it blocks all of these things via a web content control. It's the best protection you can get these days.
u need a pop up blocker for starters, u should have one? what anti-virus software do u have? as for spam, (junk advertising) in e-mail, if u suspect it is, then dont open it, just delete it or, if its in your bulk tray then move it to your inbox and report it as spam, id also go to PC world, and get advise from them, u should get a cleaner and a new anti virus package, like norton 2008 internet security, as it sounds to me like u mite have some spyware on your pc, have you also ran a full system scan of your harddrive??
your pc is probably not secure , infested with trojans / spyware / malware...
